Vivian Belzaguy Hunter, founder of Ascendance Sustainable Events, has spent the past two decades turning environmental ambition into action for the events industry — most notably through her leadership on Ultra Music Festival’s Mission: Home program. What started as a 13-initiative wishlist from local advocates is now a full-scale sustainability program with 61 initiatives and over 20 community partners. Think waste reduction, climate action and real-deal pollution prevention, all baked into the festival’s DNA. Under Vivian’s guidance, Ultra has earned global recognition, including a World Sustainability Award, and set a new standard for how music festivals can show the world how to protect our planet.
