Creative director, transdisciplinary artist, and co-founder of GLMMR NYC, Vita Tzykun is a trailblazer in the experiential arts, creating groundbreaking immersive experiences that redefine traditional boundaries. Together with performer-director-technologist David Adam Moore, she has captivated audiences with projects like The Bohème Project, which merges Puccini's La Bohème with its modern counterpart, Rent. Set against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic and elevated through 3D game engine and VR technology, the dual production transformed Pullman Yards into an immersive set, drawing national audiences and critical acclaim from The New York Times. Meanwhile, REFUGE, developed during their Granada Artist Residency at UC Davis, explored belonging and hope through spatial electronic sound, operatic vocals, and 3D projection mapping. The piece sold out within two days and earned an invitation for a follow-up production in 2025. Their work creates emotional landscapes that linger, combining bold storytelling with immersive design that stays with audiences long after the experience ends.
