As Creative Director at Universal Studios Hollywood, Ben Wolff is helping lead a new chapter of large-scale, narrative-rich activations like Universal Fan Fest Nights, a project that began more than three years ago — while Ben was working in the experiential agency world for TAIT and Thinkwell. While the original brief was to develop an after-hours event, similar to Halloween Horror Nights, Ben led the exploration of what immersive and experiential themed entertainment could look like in today's parks. The result? An experiential juggernaut that brought the Dungeons & Dragons: Secrets of Waterdeep experience to life with cinematic storytelling, immersive gameplay and big emotions. "This work challenges the status quo of what experiential entertainment looks like in mainstream spaces," Ben explains. "It proves that interactive, emotionally driven experiences do not need to live on the fringes of art or experimental theater; they can thrive within major theme parks and global IPs." Ben's previous work includes large-scale projects for partners like HASBRO, Live Nation, and Warner Bros. Discovery (much of which is in development of wrapped in NDAs), as well as DiscOasis, a music-meets-community roller rink activation that lit up LA’s South Coast Botanic Garden.
